Rigelstra is a Canadian-made operating system, created and maintained by Lance Wakewich.
The idea
Operating systems are the foundation of everything we do on computers, yet most of them have grown for decades and depend on huge amounts of inherited code. Rigelstra asks what a system could look like if privacy and stability were designed in from the first line, and every line was written for that purpose.
It is a long-term project, and this site is updated as it grows.
